The Nude Philosophy
I first read about Nude Audio in this interview last summer. So when they launched their kickstarter campaign for Super M later that summer I was quick to back them. Nude Audio’s goal is to make premium audio products for affordable prices. Their philosophy is to focus on the most important aspect of their product, sound, and spend as much of their money on that as they can, while stripping away extraneous features. As a consumer this is something I really value. I don’t want to spend money towards huge advertising campaigns, celebrity endorsements, fancy finishes, and all the rest. When it comes to a bluetooth speaker I want one that’s easy to use, durable, small, and most importantly, sounds good. Nude Audio delivered all of these things for less than $100, and the product still even looks cool.
Super M
Nude Audio had released a set of speakers prior to their kickstarter debut. The original Nude Audio line came in three sizes, S, M, and L. Super M, the speaker I purchased and that is shown in the surrounding pictures is an iteration of the M size. It is waterproof, sandproof, and shockproof enough that you can drop kick it without too much concern. I am not that knowledgeable about accoustic systems, but the Super M has two drivers and a passive sub-woofer on each side, which is an improvement over the M’s set up, not to mention provides 360 degree sound. Anyways, it sounds great to me. The controls on the Super M are very simple. There are volume controls, an on off button and a bluetooth pairing button that doubles as a speakerphone control. Simple but effective.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″]

Packaging
I got the Yelle special addition of the Super M, which is a bright blue colour. I love that the packaging was specialized for each colour. I really liked the packaging design for a few reasons. You can see both sides of the speaker without actually opening the package, the inner plastic box provided protection and felt high end, the blue bit of cord was a lovely brand detail, and the package itself was kept relatively small compared to the size of the product.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/4″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/4″]

Display
I really love these circular display units Nude Audio has been using since the launch of their first line, designed by the London-based design studio Postler Ferguson. Nude Audio products consist of a very simple construction in order to keep production costs down. The circular display hoops almost frame the products, drawing more attention to them. They also allow the speakers to be hung, showcasing the trademark cords of Nude Audio Speakers.
